What is Brilliant Bikes??
Brilliant Bikes is owned and operated by Whitefish local and absolute bike nut, Daniel Brua. Montana native and outdoor enthusiast Dan's passion for being outside has always paired with bicycles. From the freedom of cruising the Whitefish back alleys and dirt jumps as a grom to the modern backcountry mountain biking that makes the Flathead Valley so incredible, Dan has always found creative ways to maintain a quality ride.
After years of home maintenance and customization, Dan started building wheels from scratch about 15 years ago and hasn't looked back, a well built wheel is the foundation of quality bicycle. This became a gateway into the depths of advanced repairs.
After working in local shops Dan saw a need for bike repair with a more direct approach. "I don't just turn wrenches, I look for ways to make it feel better." Dan's goal is to turn every bike into the best it can be, for the person using it. Often a one size fits all approach is applied to bike service, this is just how it is.
Brilliant Bikes is about seeing the smartest, most practical approach to your cycling. "I want my customers to enjoy bikes that are well built, properly tuned, fitted to you and your riding style, and feeling good. The bike will tell me what it needs, I just have to be listening."
The truth is most riders don't have enough information to know what they need. Cycling can be full of "unkown, unkowns". Meaning most cyclist haven't even connected with all of their options. Everything from stem height, to tire pressure, to seat angle... brake lever reach, shifter placement, fork alignment... a well built ride addresses every aspect of performance as well as fit.
